    Yea guys meant to say mind the paint work , cover well or remove parts , apply with soft paint brush to reduce spattering

    Yep, I believe Harpic is pretty good at reducing splattering :eek:

    Looks amazing and a brilliant job buddy :)

    I would love to try it but my concern is....last bike when I tried taking the headers off, I snapped a thread :sob:. Then I had to drill and do a helicoil job and it worked. But the stress it game me........

    Be very careful with this stuff. According to its ingredients list it contains 10% Hydrochloric Acid!!!

    Gave it a try yesterday. Got the black stuff for £1 from Home Bargains. Brought up the link pipe nice and quick, but it was only slightly discoloured. The collector box and exhaust was a lot more difficult. I spent a couple of hours applying it with a brush and leaving for 10minutes and still did not come up shiny.

    It works but not the miracle cure of black to shiny in 10 minutes, if seriously ingrained. Mine's getting there, but got fed up. Will do it everytime I wash the bike and eventually hope it gets them all shiny, we'll see.

    The left side of the bottom pipe was as brown as the middle! So it's better but couldn't shift the really bad bit to the right. Will keep trying.
