    Hi all.

Last week saw the final half of my street scrambler swap for the 2018 street RS. What. A. Bike!
Absolutely love it, the mrs actually approves too (she didn’t like the scrambler). Daytona engine protection kit fitted alongside the tinted flyscreen, heated grips (which work better than the street scrambler ones) and tank pads. I can but only find one fault...

Can’t f*cking find the kickstand with my left foot. Can’t do it, it sits directly below the peg.
Am I alone with this? if not, has anyone found a solution other than having to look down whilst jiggling the left leg in the same fashion a dog does when you hit the tickly bit...?

Iv never had a street before so it’s maybe a theme with them but there isn’t a wee nipple bit on the side stand to catch your heel with. I’m certain there’s one on the street T S but not the RS, infact il swing past the dealers tomorrow.

Apart from that though, awesome motorcycle ❤️

I think you'll just have to get used to finding the end of the stand under the footrest, it's not easy but you'll get the hang of it. I think there is no lug or 'nipple' on the stand due to the sportier nature of the RS, as it's supposed to be track ready, therefore ground clearance would suffer with the addition of a lug, well that's my theory anyway.
All that said not sure if the R or S models have a lug on the side stand in order to make finding it with your foot easier?

Ah the standard bike does, strange. I wonder if the R&G shoe will help, worth a try and if not, they are still good bits of kit :)

Hi mate, hope you’re enjoying the bike.... and have managed to find the kickstand!
I’ve ordered one and was wondering.... does it come as standard with led indicators? Im hoping it’s not those fcking massive bulbous monstrosities that came on my 675! Otherwise it’s another £150 on new ones!

    Hiya fella,
Kickstand is easy to find now, heel in between the peg and gear and it pops down perfectly every time. Does seem to just take a wee touch to get used to.

Lights wise yes fella, sure does. However I’m unsure if the S and R versions do, probably don’t. The only fault is the massive tail on the thing, I managed to get round to removing mine for the evotech effort yesterday

Buy the bike Jamie...Buy! The! Bike!

Nice one, yeah I’ve ordered it, picking it up in 2 weeks. Got Arrow can and the heated grips as extras. Mint!
I’ll add a tail tidy to the secret shopping list then!
    Cheers mate

The heated grips are better than the retro range too. On the scramblers etc the heated grips have two settings, cold and just a little bit so cold. RS has three, you feel all three and the top one can be felt pretty quickly, maybe a little too hot for me tbh. You’ll love the bike mate, wait until you hear that sound when the revs hit 6000....and then at 9000....

Sure am fella, was down to and up from Glasgow today (I’m Aberdeen) and doing the same again on Sunday.
    Just so much fun!!
Sadly won’t be able to service it until the 29th which will see it hitting over 1000 miles but that’s the best the dealer could do. Tbh I think I’ve broken it in quite well, makes it so hard not to just fly all the time though

I had similar issues with getting first service done last year, ended up going to different dealer who got it done quicker.
Take it steady until it is serviced as the oil is different for the run in period. Once oil changed you can start to have real fun!

Nice, but, is that legal? I thought the reason it was so long was because the reg plate had to extend beyond the rear.

Also, what's that on your wheel?

The tail tidy and removing the rear pegs (don't carry a pillion) really cleans up the lines on the back end.
