I used to get about 137 mls to a tank and it would take about 11 ltrs to fill up again. So averaged out at 56 mpg. My T100 was a fair bit modified and imo ran really well.
I have a 2017 T120, when I refuel the instrument states 165 miles before refuelling, any thoughts on this being correct?
It's not run in until you have a couple thousand miles on the clock ! I have a 2008/9 America, I have 107,000 klms on the clocks ! It was very heavy on fuel for 3,000 odd klms, I got 13 klms ltr on the first tankful, this improved bto 20 klms ltr after 2,500/3,000 klms ! If you want better fuel mileage , get rid of the Air Injection , replace std Air filter with K&N or similar put open pipes/Muffler's on it and get it Tuned by a reputable Dyno operator !! I have done my Bike twice , once on std motor with above improvement mods done and second time after 905cc big bore kit, high compression pistons and porting of the cylinder head, both times I got improved horse power and torque out put by 4 to 5 HP and 3 to 4 ft lbs , now about 65 to 75 HP and 56 to 60 ft lbs, I had to put stiffer clutch springs in to counter HP related clutch slip (std springs slip in the upper 60 HP range) I tow trailers, I have two camper (2 berth) and a cargo (with aerodynamic lid) one weighs 115 kg(camper) other weighs 45 kg. Run it in and tune it ! Then you'll get better mileage !! Cheers capt. I feel a bit like an ECHO ! I keep repeating this, run it in and get it tuned to suit your use/needs, as the emissions/pollution controls aren't there to improve fuel mileage's ! They are there to Stop emissions/pollution and Noise Emissions !
I have a new Street Twin and have been getting 65-70 MPG. But I don't ride too aggressive either. And MPG should improve a bit once the engine is fully broken in.
Hi Almo. Filled to the brim my 865 efi SE gets to 100 miles before the light comes on. On my 900 Street Twin, at least 140. No idea what mpg those equate to, and I do tend to be a spirited rider.

Hi, you don't say which Bonneville you have. But my 2016 T120 does just over 200m on a long ride and 160m around the houses so to speak. I'm delighted with the bike and ride quality, hope that helps. A

On my new T100 (2018) I get well over 300 km on one tank, average seems to be about 4 liters per 100 km. I've only done 1000 km so far (first service due), riding mostly 50-80 km/h, not going crazy on the revs. Not sure how it may change over time, but surely it won't get worse. Andreas
I am still sort of monitoring after all the mods and the remap when this tank has been emptied I shoud know what its doing its definately over 40mpg
I've done a tankful of fuel for two days running, each time I got @120 miles before the light came on. Tors pipes fitted, lambda sensors and clean air kit removed with twin pipe TORs map.
Finished a tank today 128 miles until light came on steadily 133.1 miles until filling up 12.68 litres put in. averaged 47.71 mpg Not bad considering I was thrashing it to keep up with Speed Triples etc for a lot of it....

The 2014 America has a 19.3 litre tank (about 3 litres remaining when the low fuel light comes on). Generall light comes on around 185 miles and running on vapour at 220 miles. Never run out but pretty close in France last week. Reckon it does around 57 mpg.
I commute on my 2012 865 Bonneville, I fill-up the first chance I get when the light come on, some days I ride steady and others with a little more go, I regularly turn out 110 per tank and on a run with Rudeboy I can get around 125, never any more. Im a fat git that has pretty much done everything to the Bonneville that I can, exhausts, HF air filters, special tune etc so performance wise without a full race tune she's as good as it gets, I guess if I lost 5-6 stone she would do better on fuel and perform a little better but I'm happy with what she's got. On a long trip I'd allow an average of 120 mile per tank for pricing etc you wont go far wrong with that.
