Just picked up this bespoke jacket today from Hideout Leathers and couldn't be happier
I think its Old School retro look will suit both me and the Triple just fine :)

Who cares, it looks great and if you’re happy with it that’s all that counts.

That’s a good looking jacket. Can you compare it to Goldtop or any other brand? I’ve been shopping around myself for a good jacket. I like some of the Triumph branded ones but not sure the quality matches the price.

Sorry but I'm not familiar with that make
I went for a bespoke one because i can't find anything off the rack to fit me properly
I'm quite tall and most jackets come up short at the waist.
It's to my own design and has the obligatory elbow and shoulder pads, a back protector, Airtex lining and Kevlar reinforcement in all the right places

Material is 1.4mm cowhide and all zippers are brass YKK for the antiqued look
I think it will weather in just nicely :)

Gold top of England make some nice looking items, gloves and jackets. I’d like to order one but am a bit concerned about sizing as I’ve not put hands on anything from them in person.

    OK I can't really comment
Hideout are a small firm that make custom leather as well as off the shelf stuff
Kate (the owner) came recommended by a friend and I have had a few alterations to other makes of bike clothing done by them

I bit the bullet and went for my ow design and am extremely happy
Got to wear it today on a 150 miler and am very pleased

    It started out as this
https://www.hideout-leather.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1391 but I didn't want the cross chest Brando look, preferred a straight zipper and quilted elbows and shoulders....so they built it for me :)

Just took delivery of a Goldtop Brown Bobber jacket, already bought their cafe racer gloves. I think the quality is great, 1.4mm leather and the quality I compared to Triumph gear at the recent Triumph weekend, frankly the Goldtop gear beats pretty much all the stuff they offer up to about £800 for the triumph kit. Goldtop are just better pound for pound with great service too. As for fit, they give you a size chart on the web I used it, ordered a 40 inch and it fits perfectly. I should be on commission.... anyway I like it and would recommend them.

    Some great look jackets there.

Are either the Hideouts or the Gold Tops (slightly or reasonably) waterproof?

That's OK, I don't want it for scuba diving :) My Alpinestar Goretex jacket got soaked through in about five minutes in the downpour this morning ,so I am not expecting miracles :)
