Decided it was time to spend a little bit of money on the beast, actually ended up spending a small fortune! Ill give you two guesses what she said when i told her how much id spent! Turning up this week is a set of michelin pr4s, new arrow 3 into 1 full system, comfort gel seat, new chain and sprocket kit, and treated myself to a new pair of boots aswell! So was thinking of doing a before and after pic to see what it looks like! Also ill have a few bits coming up for sale soon. So if anyone is interested in a mivv end can, standard seat, and a high screen (that bolts onto fly screen) then ill have them up in the for sale section over the next week or two!
Sounds like you are going to need a place to stay for a while til she calms down. Wanna borrow a tent
Golden rule - don't tell them! She'd never notice the new tyres (once scrubbed in) or the chain and sprocket so you could have got away with them!
Just tell her you have had them for ages and they were in a sale...that's what the wife tells me when she spends my money
When I got my last bike I made sure it was the same colour as my other one, I would have got away with it until I had both on the drive at the same time!!
It sounds like by the time she has finished with you the only thing you won’t regret buying is the gel seat......... And then there’s the ‘short rations’ your expenditure will have brought about...... Was it really worth it?
Replaced my Arai last year without Lady Poppy noticing. Almost identical model but it is pearl white instead of plain - still got away with it.
Yeah please! I think im more worried how much its going to cost to Make her quiet! Hopefully shes like a magpie and will get distracted by shiny things... much like my new arrow system
Thats the problem bud, weve been together 12 years and havent saved for the wedding yet! I keep telling her i cant afford it...whoops!
Well you have told her the truth, you can't afford it coz you spent all your money on your bike!! You bike will look and go better as a result of the money being spent, a wedding rarely has the same benefit
There was a lad at the gun club who had an envelope taped to the inside of his gun safe door to be opened in case of his death... In it was a letter to his wife saying "do not sell these for what I told you I paid for them!" and a bunch of receipts.
Completely agree, im sure when we manage to get out on a ride out soon shell change her mind... hopefully.
For next time... tell her what you bought, but half the costs! Unless you want to change the bike, then the service/repairs on current one will cost double.
Haha fellas I had a good chuckle reading this now. I too am busy master minding something.. lets just say it's a new edition coming soon
