The only constantly cheap ones Ive seem are XJ 600 at around 800. The only ones I would definatly snap up is a 70/80s kick start on a tube frame.Just like 10,000 other guys.
There was a Hornet sold in Inverness last night for 1200 very good nick and low miles. I did think about both of the two you got DD, good prices, I could have rented a van and still got a deal, you did well there.
I found this on ebay ...just popped up on Thursday evening, I emailed, and 5 mins later he sent a phone number. An hour later I am at his house. So after work today to he delivered it.
No I didnt The Bandit guy phoned me back, only I moved on and was looking at other stuff by then, (Cheers by the way).
Guy still has a very clean standard ( I think ) Honda cb750 1978 1600 pounds.two new tyres moted last year Any interest pm me.I dont know him I looked briefly at the bike its clean tidy he tried to start it -for the first time in months and we gave up, cos I was more interested in the GS. To be honest I thought about buying both and selling the Honda for double and making a profit on the deal.
I must admit I found it difficult to locate a winter hack for a decent price... I eventually bought a 92 xj600 diversion that needed some cosmetic work doing for £400 all the way on the east coast (I live in the Lake District) I’ve sorted the electrics & bodywork into operational condition (safe but not pretty) and stuck a new chain n sprocket set on... and away I go for less than £500. (If you don’t count the petrol or fish n chips I went through to purchase/collect it) So bikes are out there, but patience is key... but I struggle to be patient! Anyone wanna xj600 for £600???
The GS does what I want I have something to work on, I can take it to shows, customise it. learn from it, I dont think I could of got a more appropriate bike for me.
