You take her for a walk by all means!
I'll let her sleep on my bed afterwards as she might be tired and need a cuddle ;)

They are not a thing of the past, there are 120,000 people in the UK living with the effects of polio contracted before immunisation in the mid fifties plus people from abroad who contracted it since then. Not all wear callipers (KAFOS) as a lot have had to succumb to using a wheelchair or scooter.
    See British Polio Fellowship.

Especially if you lived in a prefab with metal framed windows and poor insulation.

I've got a pair of Diana pop-outs in my loft somewhere. Used to buy cat slugs from the cycle shop and go around shooting at anything that moved or didn't !!!

Can't believe my parents allowed us to run around with these stuffed down the back of your jeans. Mine's went everywhere with me as a kid.

Do they have the arse tore out and the knees scuffed?

It was the 70's, yoga was something you got in a small pot with ski on the side?

We knew when Xmas was coming as Davenports would deliver the Xmas booze. Crates of Pale Ale, Brown Ale, Mackeson Stout.
