I used to teach on the outskirts of Nottingham, I have scars to prove it!!!
Being told to fuck off was a daily / hourly occurrence and Friday was fight night. Stopped refereeing after I found out that some were armed and I would get no support from school or police if anything happened !!! in fact a colleague got charged for separating a fight between girls, lucky for her I was there that night and could give a statement to confirm that no assault had taken place. The girl that brought the charges was the one smashing another girls face into the tarmac !!!

 

Jesus. No wonder they say those who can ... teach. Yeah can endure verbal and physical abuse can fight like a cage fighter or can run like fcuk

 

I was referring to the recruitment drive ads for teachers a few years ago they misquoted the great George Bernard quite cleverly ( I think) to suit their needs.

 

Don't listen to them, don't sign up. It's feckin awful. I hate those recruitment adverts, total lies.

 

Holidays aren't bad though.
