About 2yrs in my case. Is Vulpes something to do with foxes?

 

Yep. I'm involved in (drag) hunting, hence the allusion to foxes. So no actual hunting, just hurtling after a pack on horseback. Great fun.

 

You hunt in drag? I know the Dutch know how to enjoy themselves but are you sure you are on the right forum?

 

As we have made a few changes to the daily routes i thought i would put them up again..I will be bringing detailed route info for each day for everyone, including info on suggested stops for photos,coffee, lunch/snack, and fuel.
i'll also print out copies of the maps below...


No change to Monday,(Total mileage 191) we will fuel up at Tyndrum on the Sunday ready for the monday morning and refuel in Oban after approx 106 miles.the next fuel stop will be just before we reach our bunkhouse at Corran so we are all filled up ready for the Tuesday morning



Tuesday (Total mileage 176 ) we will be making a short detour to Mallaig,then we will stop for fuel just outside Fort William (about 102 miles) and fill up again when we get to skye ready for Wednesday morning



Wednesday (Total mileage 183) After stopping off at Glen Docherty Viewpoint (number 5 on map) we will fuel up at Kinlochewe (about 90 miles) after a lunch/snack stop at Gairloch we will go up to the Cove light anti aircraft battery WW2 (number 7 on map) then on to Ullapool where we will refuel ready for Thursday morning



Thursday (Total mileage 211) first fuel stop at Fort Augustus (about 80 miles) then refuel again when we stop in Aviemore,when we get to Braemar we can fill up ready for Friday morning



Friday (Total mileage 163) short detour for Fuel stop at Lix Toll (about 120 miles) if anyone is struggling to get 120 miles from their tank you can fill up when we go through Crieff although i think we should all be fine?,there is a short detour of a couple of miles to Loch katrine where the sir Walter Scott steamship is,also a nice cafe (number 7 on map)

 

That'll be near point two on wednesday...

 

Dougie, make sure to book the annual dry day for us going up and over Applecross. It was a bit damp last time I did it.

Yip count me in for whole trip I might book a bed in Skye the camp site seems quite a distance.

Lucas60 (Lou) has been in touch with me he is doing a road trip in Scotland at the end of May with a few mates, he was asking me if it was possible for him to come on this one also,unfortunately after checking all the hostels we are staying at all but one was fully booked and Hotels & B&Bs will work out expensive for 1 person,i've emailed him about the situation.
@crispey and @Havit i thought i would let you guys know in case you were going to manage,maybe you guys could share in a B&B or a hotel?

 

Not for me now, things ain’t going to work out!

 

i've just booked Lou into the bunkhouse at Tyndrum for the Sunday night,he is going to come the run on Monday with us before heading for home
