Agreed...let’s hope that Triumph add the R to the line up next...they could keep the IMU etc ditch the keyless stuff , leave off the fancy brake levers, stripes etc...add Arrows as an option and add the red bits back with gold Ohlins and sell it for somewhere midway between S and RS

This too -- nothing we haven't already heard, but a closer look and some decent action footage...(of the bike, not the presenter ).

...and at least he states correctly that heated grips aren't standard (along with the quick shifter). Poor guys - they get the same bike, in the same place, with the paper Triumph sign on the table. Cameraman: "You've got 3 minutes to say something new."

Just checked the Triumph USA site and the US Speedy RS's come with the QS as standard fit....so why are we UK buyers having to stump up £300 ish extra for something that should be standard on a bike of this price?

We also will be paying about £1500-2000 more for the RS in the UK compared to the US.

And at current exchange rate £1400 cheaper.... wonder how much it would cost to import?

    Edit: but excludes -
"Price is MSRP, and excludes tax, title, license, options, handling, pre-delivery, and destination charges. Specifications and MSRP are subject to change without notice. Actual price determined by dealer."

Edit 2: To be fair a clutch pedal is a strange concept to most yanks so they probably need all the help they can get. ;)

Coz those leathers are designed & cut for on the bike, when standing upright they give your pods no room which can bring a tear to the eye, hence why those that wear them adopt the 'grape ape' stance you describe!

One thing that stands out, looks like they've made the same mistake as Ducati with the keyless ignition, they haven't included the petrol flap in the system. I know from experience this gets REALLY annoying, you put the key fob away somewhere nice and safe ('cos you'll need a mortgage if you loose it) then you fumble around trying to find it in 15 different pockets when you pull up at the petrol station. It's worse than a normal keyed system 'cos then the key's right in front of you.
Ducati do an optional extra (at vast expense) to make the flap keyless too, but heard reports it could be temperamental, and with no key override leaves you in the SH1. I wouldn't be surprised if Triumph do the same at some point.

...........................But then I'm just looking for excuses not to buy one

If you step away from the bike while the engine is running, would the engine cut out?
I am thinking bike jacked at traffic lights, and the ignition cuts so they can't ride it off

No it doesn't cut out - the thief could ride off, exactly as if they'd kicked you off your bike while the keys remain in the ignition.

The difference with keyless, is that once the ignition is turned off, the bike cannot be restarted without the key in proximity.

So when you're attacked, you can a) fight or b) flick the kill switch and run away with the key in your pocket :p
