Fitted a set of Renntec engine bars to the old girl this morning, been toying about buying a set for a while, very pleased that I have, very nicely made bit of kit.
Fitted like a glove, lovely deep chrome finish, not to everyone's taste, but I like em :D
I even got her out in the sunshine, but it didn't do my photographic skills any favours.

    Ride safe

    Brian.

Not very exciting but renewing the insurance...Here's my experience

    Hi Carole Nash.
Just thought I share some thought with you.
Both myself and my wife have been customers with you guys for a number of years now with both of our motorcycles and car. Always found your team to be helpful and knowledgeable. When things did go very Pete Tong for my wife several years ago, your legal team helped us deal with the police and obtain a fair settlement from the 3rd party's insurer, so, always happy to renew. But not at any price.
The cover on my motorcycle is due for renewal on March 1st, so received my renewal notice earlier this week. The premium had gone up by around £70, so decided to get on the web to ensure that your quote was still competitive. It took me only few minutes to find quotes at less than half of my cost of renewal. In fact you were over £100 (thats over 30%) more expensive than the next most expensive quote. Cover was comparable, with similar additions, even if the compulsory excess was a little more. So I decided to get on the phone to find out if that was really the best quote you could offer.
I got to speak to a helpful lady, to whom I explained the reason for my call. After a short conversation, helpful lady put me on hold to speak to the underwriters. After a few moments of listening to your dire hold music, helpful lady came back with the same cover for £105 less! So, I renewed (despite the hold music!).
Now, I'm sure I don't need to tell you that the easiest customers to sell to are your existing ones. If you want to retain business, you need to ensure your team are sending out the most competitive renewals possible. After all, it's a cold. competitive world out there. Most customers would not pick up the phone like I did, they'd just go with a cheaper quote......

So remember I said I would not by a new end can, and that I didnt like the huge cotton bud that was stuck on the end. Only it worked well and why change it just for looks, blah blah blah!

Heres my new exhaust, it should be here in a few days.

Went out this morning, beautiful weather, stopped off for a coffee at Halfway house ( halfway between London & Southend, then road north. Out for about 2 hours, very pleasant.
