Hiya, I'm from staffordshire and new to forums, got a few bikes at the moment all triumph of course, 2001 bonneville, 1976 bonneville, 1996 trophy and a 1993 trophy. I'm building a hill climb outfit at the moment using a trophy 3 as donor. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks zak
Welcome, Zak. Trident 750 pistons will fit the 900 engine and give a higher compression ratio and therefore a bit more power - which is nice if you lust after such things! Daytona Super111 (the Cosworth tuned engine) cams may also help to release a bit more power (I'm not 100% sure on this one, but the extra power, around 17bhp more than the 'stock' engines, came from somewhere!). Just a couple of ideas for the hill climb jobby. Other inmates may also have ideas for you. Beware though, these may not be too helpful - or even relevant! On the other hand they may be downright brilliant!! You choose!
The Trophy 3 Donor Bike thanks For The Useful info, I was thinking of playing around with the sprockets to get a quick launch type start and hoped the 900 triple would be enough to be going on with
