Thought this was better in lounge than Bonneville forum. Ordered a brake caliper, to upgrade the Bonnie's braking, on Ebay from a guy in Italy. He sent it out within a couple of hours via DHL. Tracking the parcel it's in the UK at Gatwick the next day. The day after that it's in Bristol ready for delivery. I wasn't around when they wanted to deliver it so had the delivery date moved to a day later. I can see all this on DHL's tracking page. Friday passes no parcel..... After giving it until yesterday, I rang DHL to see why the parcel was stuck in Bristol for 4 days. They rang me back today, the good news is they have located the parcel. The bad news is it'll take a couple of days to get to me as it has to come back from Greece ! I hope it had a nice time in Greece......
Ahhhh I was wheely enjoying that. Shame to put the brakes on it Perhaps it felt that it was too cold here for it and decided to have a holiday in Greece
SCREECH we should draw this to a HALT if this has flown you should check it for AIR brake down it seems in communication
Well it stops the thread being brakeing down and pads it out I guess. Here's a brake down of where it's stopped on it's journey.
There's no stopping some from rushing of to take a brake in sunny Mediterranean, and then crawling bake at snail rate.
Well it's left Greece at 05:45 this morning.... Any bets as to which country it'll end up in this time ?
I'm hoping it'll be somewhere like the Maldives, then I can offer to pick it up personally (at their expense of course....)
This is getting silly now, just found out another parcel I'm waiting for has been delivered by Yodel. Only trouble is, I'm in the SE near Reading and it's been delivered by their Goole depot. So I've no idea where it is other than it was signed for by a 'neighbour' called O'Neil and is probably somewhere in the North of the country.....
