Can you get aftermarket seat or footrest sets for current mode (13) Speed Triples? Its early days, I've only just got my bike and the roads are so ****** I've only been up the street. But reading some of the threads on here I'm wondering whether I'll get comfort issues. Its not exactly my idea of a sporty riding position but as its fairly upright I can see why some find the distance between seat and pegs becomes cramped. If I struggle how easy would it be to make it roomier? I could easily cope with another inch on the seat height and I'm not planning any track riding so dropping the pegs an inch would do no harm at all. If it comes to it what aftermarket solutions, if any, or there or am I worrying about nothing and Speeds are armchairs its just the knackered old men like me who keep buying them?
You can get footpegs that will lower Speed Triple Footpegs and am sure there are other makes unfortunately I picked a slightly more expensive option
On our website we offer CNC Racing bar risers which helps straighten your riding position, I have a dodgy back from when I was a kid and had to have surgery so some stances are more uncomfortable for me than others, it's either ride with a straight back or race mode I can't do in the middle which I found on the street & speed, well actually come to think of it most naked bikes!
I've got some pegs that drop your feet by 30mm. Not used them much but seemed OK when they were on. Some here. adjustable footpegs | eBay I've got these but managed to pick up some second hand as there a bit pricey. Thanks chaps. Either of those look a likely solution. I avoided saying rearsets because I thought they'd probably make things worse to start with, offer only small adjustment and cost the thick end of £400. If I do have an issue it'll be in the left hip when changing gear. I can see where you're coming from CC. If the position was actually more racey and the pegs further back rather then directly under the seat there'd be more room.
Quite an interesting feature that. Hours of harmless fun. According to that the S111 has more legroom than either a Z100SX or a VFR800 which suggests the solution may be to stop pussying and get on and ride the thing. Certainly cheaper than buying aftermarket thingies. Think I'll adjust the gear shifter downwards and get some miles done first.
