Hi any one Know what is the length of the standard link arms. not sure if my bike has been lowered or not. I find it very difficult to put on main stand, so it may have been lowered by previous owner.
Thanks mate, l'll get my conversion table out & turn it into inches!!!!... (5.9 inches, so that makes mine standard)
My standard height Tiger XRT is not that easy to put on the centre stand, I've had bikes that are a lot easier and only one that was as much effort. I basically have to put the stand down to the floor, grab the pannier rail and then stand on the stand lever with all my weight while pulling backwards on the rail. I'm 15 stone currently ( hoping to be less again soon) and even then it only just makes it back onto the stand. And it does hurt the sole of my foot even through the boots.
AFTER ripping my achilles tendon trying to put mine on the center stand on the 2nd day of ownership I found a thread that advises us Tiger owners to make a 5cm/ 2 inch block of wood chamfered on one side to help the rear wheel get up there & as I usually have my panniers permanently on the bike it's no bother to keep in stored in one of them with my other "what if this or that happens" toolkit.
