About 1730 yesterday, Saturday 06/01/18 being ridden along the A6 towards Duffield from direction of Derby! Well lit up and in company with a rider on a conventional cycle. Never seen one out and about on the open road before! Curly
Ive seen a bloke from out market weighton way riding one heaps hes always got someone with him sounds like same bloke.Hes about 70 odd,I have stopped and chatted with him hes a nice bloke Bit mad but arnt we all.
Ridden one of those, there's a small step on the back, right foot on it and scoot with the left foot, get upto a speed the bloody things going to stay up-right then lift your self up and on! Sounds easy? Stopping is a different matter, forget to keep peddling or slow up too quick and over the bars you go, the frame (and you) ride over the front spindle as easy as anything. Great fun when you get the hang of it though!
Do you carry a megaphone? Rider is about 10 foot up! Love to have a go on one though, I had a Pedersen for years but frame issues forced me to part company, unfortunately.
