Looking to buy a new set of boots to make my legs 2" Inc longer does anyone know of a good pair of boots. As I hate being on tip toes as only 5ft 6inc tall and have short but not fat legs. Tucker
Hello Tucker, when I had my Tiger 955i it was a bit too tall for me, but my wife bought me a pair of Doc Martens boots with a double sole. This made a big difference to my confidence when riding the Tiger. Maybe gave me an extra 1.5 inches ? Stop that tittering at the back !!
No shame in being a short arse This is my suggestion Gloria would have loved them Little ade will suggest you buy a BMW
Just my style and also will match my bike Shame about the tag but then again they say when you have a Harley you walk most places. Tucker
Ditto know how ya feel Tucker, Can you not look into lowering the bike at all seat re-cut etc, I feel two inches is a fair bit to look for in footwear only, fair do's if we were still in the 70's with plenty of choice but still not to good for riding with, Though depending on your style you could take a look here - http://www.alternative-footwear.co....isex/mens-goth-punk-platform-shoes-boots.html
Thanks have looked at getting my seat done would only cost me £60 pound but wanted to try bigger boots first as seat is very comfortable. Tucker
8mm higher in the toes, not impressed tbh. Can't see them giving the improvement in confidence the OP is looking for ?
Have a look at www.altberg.co.uk if you think a Doc Martins type of sole/heel design might be a step in the right direction (?! - sorry) for you. Not cheap, although everything is relative, but the quality is excellent. I have a pair of their now deleted Clubman boots which cost me just shy of £100 way back in/around 1998, and they are still going strong after much use and abuse. Hard to fault them really.
Steve how long does it take you to get in and out of your suit and does it make you sweat can I just buy the boots and does it come with a gas mask
