Hello all, I am searching for this information, but thought I would post this as well. I am looking for my first bike and simply enjoy the heritage and look of the Triumph Brand.....means alot for many reasons. I also like the symmetry of the Street Twin....twin pipes on either side. Not sure why this is such a big deal to me but.......
I am also interested in more of a mechanical noise than a loud cadence.....hope that makes sense.
That said, may I ask the forum......which model has the most comfortable position, ride wise, which would include the seat.
My use for the bike will be 99% commuting, about 20 miles a day total.
I saw a guy riding an older school Yamaha the other day and he looked soooo comfortable.....but I am unsure of what made this so.
    Thanks in advance.

Hello Triumph 17 and welcome to the Triumph Asylum - you'll soon see why when you read some of the replies - Bless 'em.

My advice? Go to a Triumph dealer and sit on a few different Bonneville twin models - start to get a feel for the riding position, controls etc then take one or more out for a test ride and take your time, there's no rush to select one immediately, for the right one that fits you best. I would think a 2017-on Bonneville T100 would be a good chance for you.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Have to agree with the others here - the only way to know is to test ride a few models.
If you like the classic single headlight, symmetrical parallel twin engine, and twin pipes look then it's a Bonneville/Street Twin for you!
Which is most comfortable? Only you can tell. 20 miles is nothing at all so any model will get you there in comfort. Longer distances? - well from experience a Bonneville seat will give you a numb bum (ass) after 2 hours constant riding but I'd still ride mine on and off all day!:cool:

Thanks for the replies, and please keep them coming. I certainly agree that I need to ride them all, but there is so much to be learned through the years of experience one receives in riding......this is what I am trying to add into the decision. I love the position and feel of a Yamaha Bolt.....and I will alway give Yamaha consideration if they are in any market that I am looking to purchase in, (personal reasons for this), but I do not like the asymetrical exhaust....and the sound of the StreetTwin is more modest and 'mechanical'. What I am really looking for is the 'sit back and ride' kind of feel that I saw with that person riding the old yamaha last week.......if I see him again I will flag him down.

Well, there is a budget and doing Triumph is already pushing it...and the simpler and smaller fits the modest sound idea....but that is a nice look....I do like the more traditional rear wheel bumper (ok is that a faring, bumper, fender?) compared to the street twin which has more room between it and the tire......more travel.....the 'fixed'look is more appealing at least to my eye

    Hi @Triumph17
Virginia beach?? Used to live there when I was 10, great memories, 53 street I think surfing on that never ending beach, the amount of times I came home soaking wet having fallen into crystal lake! But I digress,
again what everyone had said, go and test some, you might think you're going to be commuting but knowing what happens, that 20 mile ride home will turn into 100 cos it just felt soooooo good!'

Hi I'm still running with the stock seat on my street twin. Have given some thought to changing it but as I use my t'bird for longer runs not really got around to it.
