Any food compared to hospital food will be welcomed. My missus had to fetch me pizza in last night, as my tea was so bad Only complaint is the food. Staff and facilities have been excellent. Arriving in an ambulance, with a bike accident has meant 5* treatment all the way. Bloke opposite me took 4 days to get CT scan, I waited 10 minutes!!!!
Good news mate, as well as those nurses try there isn't anything like your own bed and home cooking, I know I sampled some hospital food and hospitality 18 months back! Start sorting the bike out soon? Or is it down to waiting on insurance now? Good luck mate.
Just heard the news....... Never mind your f#cking ribs Been standing at the end of my drive all weekend waiting for a delivery. Where's my f#cking concrete!
The cnut delivered on time, he nearly drove over me and the lass looking after me, couldn't get away quick enough. Totally not bothered, even tho he was 50% to blame, in my opinion, waiting for Police Scotland and his truck camera footage to get back.
Leaving the scene of an accident, before Police arrived? Didn't want them seeing his tachograph? Highly suspicious to me!
Defo illegal to leave scene before exchanging details or emergency services arrival. Does not sound good but may work in your favour. Perhaps a 100% claim on his policy. Or more likely a claim out of the uninsured drivers pot that ou r insurance companies insist on us paying for. If he did not stop & police trace him, you could basically place all blame on driver of truck. There will b e no foundation to his story (see what I did there) After leaving the scene without stopping, 1) His morals will be called into question. 2) he will be a suspect for d/d & therefore his account of the accident should be discarded.
He did stop, gave details, phoned his boss then left as ambulance arrived. He later went to the police to report it, when back home. I was in no state to do anything unfortunately. Waiting to see what police have to say. I have details if the cops that spoke to me, so will speak to them next week.
The stuff in the big dustbin behind him only has a certain amount of time before it's had it so not surprised the driver did things in that order. As long as he reported it, exchanged details and made sure you were not just left alone in a ditch I don't think he did anything wrong legally. Ethically is a different thing...
Depends on the age of the truck, if it's an old one, i.e. Pre 2006, then it could have a paper chart which will show the speed at the point of impact, if it's a later one with digital tach then it won't, unless you can forensically download it and only specialist trained persons can do that, i.e. Traffic police or vosa but I can't see it being done for a "minor" injury collision ( I know you don't consider your injury to be minor but that kind of action is usually only deemed necessary for fatal or life changing collisions)
Agreed, I think it will be life changing, Mr 'O' hasn't got a roadworthy bike! Having said that , prob 12 weeks or so before you can cough comfortably let alone ride a bike. Mr 'O' did u have that slow mo moment before impact?

The five accidents I've had in 43 years of motorcycling, all of them I can recall in slow motion. Strange that isn't it?
