Big handful of front! Was locked and sliding for all of 10m before impact. Guess it took enough speed off, as injuries are fairly minor compared to what could have been.
Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you get well very soon and have a very speedy recovery. Best wishes.
Hi Ron so sorry to hear of your off.. Very pleased that you have got through without major problems. Get well soon . Wessa
Oh I completely agree, but when faced with a f*****g great truck, you just squeeze everything including the you know what. A complete lottery with regards to avoiding street furniture, trees, fence posts etc. Then if you are lucky to survive you recollect in slooowww motion what you could/ should have done differently. Another one of life's experiences, be it good or bad.
Sorry to hear about the accident Mr. O. Here's wishing you a full and speedy recovery. Injured ribs can be extremely painful, you take it easy.
GWS Mr.O! Glad it wasn't any worse and I am extremely jealous of the industrial quantities of morphine that you are enjoying. Took me three days to come down from the morphine induced high that I had when I suffered severe chest pains a few years ago. Made the worry and discomfort all worthwhile. Marvellous!!!!
Oh! O!!! Sorry to hear it mate! I think we'll need more than a couple of shovels tho to bury that truck out on the moors. Well check out the hire shops for s jcb when your better. I take it the drivers already part of some office block foundation
Sorry to hear that Ron, hope you are feeling well as your post suggests (all things considered). Good planning to wait to nearly the end of the holiday to get the skive excuse sorted. And thoughtful of you to abandon bike so you could take the worst of the impact. Get well soon!
A fecking concrete lorry............ the metal ones are bad enough. Hope you get well soon mate, That's the problem with them country back lanes, there's always someone trying to get layed. . The things you do to get out of going back to school.
Defo silver lining, couple of extra weeks off!!!! , not sure it's worth it tho'. Hopefully out of hospital tomorrow, trying to anyway, waiting to see.
How's it gan Ron, any sign's of getting home ? Scrub that question just read above post, while I was writing this, Hope all goes well and you get home, nowt like your own place !!!
Sorry to hear about your accident. I echo what the other posters. Get well soon and hopefully get back on the road soon
