Just got back from A&E Was drilling a petrol plate at work to take an R clip to hold the handle on when the bloody drill bit snapped My fault I know cos I was pressing too hard Snapped drill went straight into my left hand only stopped when it hit the bone OUCH wouldn't stop bleeding so off I went to hospital Lovely nurses making a fuss over me,X-ray,cleaned out debris and three stitches And I really really really didn't cry Didn't get a wollipop though so that upset me a bit
Your employers should know better,,,,,,fancy letting you near anything mechanical or electrical Get well soon mate
Cheers lads but the worst part was not getting a wollipop Just went back to work though cos if wor lass thought I was at home she'd find me something to do

I've got a Northern lass - you're right - if you sit down it's a sin. She can find jobs that aren't even required. Still she's lovely
30 odd years ago using an electric hedge cutter on my mam & dads front hedge, while my brother insisted on talking shite to me at the same time, what made it worse was the fact he had a terrible stutter. did a similar thing cutting hedge near a wall , old trimmer with single switch , useing one hand to reach a high bit i reached for handle at same time cutter hit wall and bounced onto my finger end, wife insisted on a& e nurse said injection was as painfull as stitch so one stitch no painkiller f***********k lying cow
Many years ago I was using a center drill on a small Bridgeport Mill at a training centre to spot mark some plates, it was early in the day and the machine that I was working on was a little worse for wear. The lever had to be pulled back manually every time one drilled as it did not pull back anymore... so anyway whilst drilling I removed the shavings with my left hand and somehow in a split second not holding the lever the center drill had gone straight through my index finger nail. It was so deep that the tip came out on the other end. Faaaaaarking l hell I nearly fainted it was that sore !! The instructor laughed his arse off and told me because of my stupidity I had to sit at his desk until home time to tell everyone one what I had done before I could get it attended to.. around 3pm he must have felt sorry for me and told me to bugger of to get it sorted ! The next day I was back and got to work on the spark eroder doing privates for him. He took a liking in me after some time and in the end I finished top in my class.
