Frame Scraped

    my abbastand adapter has scraped the frame on right hand side,finish seems slightly textured is there ant way of touching this up 2011 speedy thanks all,failing that are there any covers that can cover part of frame where swingarm spindle is ive seen carbon ones but they are not cheap by any means.

    If its a small scratch then just touch it in with the correct colour, any thing bigger is more involved as it would involve textured primer and spraying.

    yep I know the feeling :-(. Same happened to me on a Gixxer with an Abba Stand. They are good piece of kit but you need to absolutely ensure they are a snug fit and no movements at all. As Darkman said it's a bit of a work on deep scratches. I don't think a touch up pen will cut that scratch. Sorry buddy. I hope you get it sorted.

    If you can get a textured finish aerosol paint from bikepaints to match the frame colour then its going to make a better job than just touching it in. Because the frame has some sharp angles you can use masking tape to form soft edges on them for a better finish.

    yes that's what i need to do I've looked at both touch up and spray but scrape too large for touch up,used bikepaints before on mettalic pearl jade green good quality so will buy the charcoal aerosol thanks.

    that looks spot on i will prob get a set even after painting cheers buddy.

    update i found these on r&g website after ebay seller says no longer in stock ordered them today total of just over £24 inc vat and delivery,may still paint the scrape will ask bikepaints first if paint is textured as colour match may be great but i dont know if the slightly textured effect would be replicated, have any good folks on here have painted/touched up the frame before and what did you use.
