Guys, Time to get a tail tidy for my 2011. I'm aware of R&G, CW, Rizoma or Evotech. Any recommendations or advice? Cheers.:upyeah:
Hi I fitted a R&G on mine, if you are keeping orginal cans, the tidy comes with brackets to fit OE indicators, they sit high and i thought looked crap. They do give you another bracket to fit micro indicators to. I went this option, but you then need to cut the OE connectors from your indicators to connect to the loom, same as no plate light. You then need some connectors to make up leads to then fit. Bear in mind you will need resistors else your flash rate will be wrong. I used oxford led tipped indicators, which come with resistors. There is room in the undertray area to neatly fit this. If the bike wad Suzuki, Yamaha etc you can get Indy leads with OE style connectors one end to fit to bike loom, but I found no made these for triumph, hence why I had to cut connectors off OE indicators to make this work. If your happy with OE indicators and the brackets for them, then dead easy. You do get steamed lenses if you have standard cans on though. And a standard no plate will fit but looks shit. Evotech do a nice tail tidy with indicators angled up, may be worth a look. I went to all this trouble as I planned to keep twin can set up, have akrapovics on now, so micro indicators sit in between. If you go R&G and then fit say arrow cans you then need different brackets to site indicators even higher if you use OE indicators. Hope this helps Jacko
I went with R& G.. Good fit modded it so indicators did not need extra bracket.. But I have a low can..
I've got the EvoTech fitted. I wanted to keep the original indicators, after much moaning from the wife about not being able to see the micro's I had fitted on my last bike. It's wel made and the fitting is easy. It comes with 2 brackets, one for high mount exhausts, wich tilts them up silghtly and one for micros which is straight. Though I've got a low mount exhaust I've kept the angled bracket as I like the way it follows the line of the rear light.
I've got the R&G - it was on when I bought the bike. Nice, neat, good quality piece of kit. I don't know how important it is to you but the Renntec carrier won't fit with the R&G tail tidy but the Ventura stuff does.
Thanks guys, all very useful advice. Just ordered a Scorpion can, tail tidy next. Seems to be Evotech or R&G. Thanks.
Looked for it in chrome with skulls and stuff - apparently they only do those for cruisers. Why would this be? x
He has a lot of luggage so it looks like he has modded his tank bag... How the fuck do you see over the top of both of them...
