I just joined your forum as I just purchased a new 2017 Bonneville T120. Sold my '09 BMW GS as I wanted something different (and a little lower). Read the Peter Egan article on the new Bonneville and then did a test ride and was pretty much sold. Beautiful bike that Triumph finally got right. IMO. Mike

Can't remember if I've posted this on the site before or not... Says something... by Trevor Laight, on Flickr
Here's my new toy, a 2010 Bonneville SE. Only got it yesterday but managed a short ride and quite enjoyed it. I am looking forward to bonding with my first Triumph. Not easy or quick getting the seat off though. My Hondas are just unlock and lift.
You can buy extended knurled bolts to make it easier to remove the seat. It is quite simple though with the standard bolts and Allen key, 2 mins max, very rare I need to take the seat off as I have an optimate charging socket fitted and there is no storage room under there.
Might be a chance of losing your seat, now you've told everybody HT Which side did you say the cable was on ? lol
My T100 is now at the spec that I want. So I'm jolly happy. Touring screen Centre stand (need to use it over a plank of wood or the real wheek stays on the ground!) Tourtech lockable satnav mount and locking Ram arm Triumph OEM rack (without grabrail), Givi universal plate and V46 box Will be getting the 500 mile service done in two weeks and even though I'm still running it in I am just loving the difference from the inline four I traded in for this lovely machine. Now I have the box on the longer trips are calling. Up to spec by Trevor Laight, on Flickr
That's strange you have to use a plank of wood to raise your wheel off the ground Sir Trev,i've had a centre stand fitted to mine and it raises the wheel off the ground about an inch.
Mine is far from ideal and I can only use it on very flat surfaces which is fine as it's really to make chain oiling and adjustment easier which will almost always be in my garage. Plus I can park it in the garage on the centre stand so it takes up less space. All other times I use the side stand.
