Hi Gents, Not been on for a while. My 1991 Daytona 1000 cooling fan doesn't wanna kick in & play anymore. Now the old girl took her time switching the fan on in the first place but ive heard of a mod using one from an old Volvo. Any one heard of this? Have a model or part number?? It kicks in a little earlier than the Triumph one & I want to try it out. Thanks in advance for any help on this. New Forum looks great by the way!

Personally I would keep with the original with the same temp to kick the fan in purely because I have no issue at all with the standard set up. If it aint broke why fix it! or you must have a problem elsewhere. btw when racing triumphs we never altered the temps in any way and had no problem either.
Cheers Dave! Good to see the yanks tinkering as usual! I'm only looking at this to help the old gal out. Ive flushed the system given it new coolant. Now to sort a switch. Thanks for ALL reply`s though gents!!
I would suggest you think again, it probably seems hot as the hot air is blown on your already hot legs. But in reality the engine runs much hotter in a race. Do you need to consider your oil breaking down due to engine heat. I dare say it does not cross your mind. But in racing it is very carefully monitered. Then the oil sent away for annalasis
