Scottish notes are technically ''tender of goodwill' as they are issued by limited companies underwritten by the BofE and not the the BofE itself.
Fixed or variable exchange rate mate? The tcheuchter at the border crossing on Saturday charged me twenty quid for one of they Mickey Mouse blue yins youse all use. You're surprised?
Funny I was thinking Ireland would make a great destination and was going to suggest you set it all up dude, If they wont pay the rates Im offering!
sure am i will be getting the ferry at 7.30am on a Tuesday morning it gets into larne about 9.30am. probably be staying somewhere about half way possibly Donegal then catching the ferry back late Wednesday afternoon. not booking anything in advance though as i want to make sure it's not chucking it down Provisional dates are August 15th or 21st or september12th or 19th I'll check the forecast a couple of days before and just hope i can get a last minute B&B or Hotel.this is the route I'm thinking about..Andy has made a few alterations and it looks good..anyone else that fancies it is more than welcome
I was seriously thinking of using the bunkhouse as a base over the Not-Scottish August Bank Holiday weekend and seeing if I could find some mates to tag along, or acquaintances anyway. Pity they are fully booked on the Saturday night. The three bed is available Friday, Sunday and Monday, and the eight bunk on the Friday and Monday.
Book the Friday then off to Fort William on Saturday, back down for Sunday night then home, that way you get Glen Coe aswell, just a thought
it's about 450 miles in Ireland,so doing it over 2 days should be ideal, i might stay over in Stranraer the night before the ferry to Ireland, but I'll just head straight home when arriving back in Stranraer, only about 150 miles if i take the quick route
I think we should take a measure of distance between members and get a mid way point. Was that worth tupence
