New Silencer's, baffles removable?

    Sorry for hijacking the thread, but can anyone explain the need of the small metal bracket that is on the very first picture ? Behind the muffler bolt/nut... And I'm not talking about the o-type of the bracket that keeps the exhaust in place - connected to the pipe...

    Anything to do with fitting rubber stops for the stand ?

    If you're talking about the long rectangular bracket on the inner side of the exhaust can, it's an adjustable bracket to support the can.

    If you're referring the separate nut again on the inner side of the can, that retains the baffle.

    No, it is a long metal bit attached to the external side of the exhaust on one end and having no other attachment points on the other end.... As mentioned by @MickEng it might be a thing to protect the exhaust from the stand ?
