Hey Ron, I was actually thinking the same thing just after posting the Spitfires. So to show you lot, that I am not TOTALLY ungerman, take this: (it is sheer coincidence that this is also a tin-box...)
Hehehehe... I just have a pretty weird image in my head featuring the Cliffs of Moher... All the tourists get to pick one coloured sheep each... And then it is off to the edge...
We even have indoor loos rather than the privy down the garden The gas lights are fun as having to having to get the water from the well can be a bit annoying at times
That tin contains neither 'cookies' (US) nor 'biscuits' (Eng) but SHORTBREAD (Sc)! By the way the Spitfire is the wee one in the middle. The Hurricane up front achieved more kills in the Battle of Britain http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/...urricane-the-battle-would-have-been-lost.html Anyway, jaw jaw is better than war war, as Churchill said.
Yes you are undoubtedly correct! My linguistic upbringing was a trifle too American. (Which I don't mind). To be exact to the point, we are dealing with: "Luxury Scottish Shortbread". At least it says so on the box. And I think it was noble of them to give the Hurricane the foremost position. With the slighly stubby nose it is not as beautiful but as you said: it did a very efficient job.
Just done it meself - go into your account, select avatar then find box called custom title - type in whatever you want.
WOW! Now here's a reason for buying more short biscooks!!!! Ah, what the hell: Kekse! It is almost worth opening a new thread: 'Last biscuit you ate'!
