Hi, Passed my test a couple of weeks ago and sorted insurance out for my street triple straight away so i could go straight out, went on all the usual price comparison sites and ended up going with hastings for £560. Didn't really think too much about it but my mate reckons this is really expensive, it was the cheapest quote i could get pretty much. Im 32, just passed with 3 years no claims on my car insurance, oh and a sp30 last oct..... Does this sound about right???? Jamie p.s. can't believe i didn't get a bike 10 years ago.... absolutely love it!!!!!
Never tick the auto renew they'll sting you. I know it's a year away but give yourself plenty of time when renewal is coming up and really shop around, get your online quotes then call them up as well!
There are loads of posts on the forum regarding the corrupt motor insurance industry. Guessing is all you can do because it follows no logic. Shop around every year, only insure what is required. i.e. mileage, riding abroad etc. Don't pay extra for something you don't need. Loyalty does not pay, that is something that can be guaranteed.
What a fecking pain though Crispey it's ok doing one but if you want to insure 3 or 4 and the van and the daughter car and her bike etc etc then feck about doing the same with contents and buildings why why why can't they stop robbing us and play a fair game? W@nkers the whole lot of them unchecked and out of control Whoops I think I should have posted this in rant of the day but always a bit grumpy before the end of my second coffee after work
And with the van the company refused to drop more than£10 so I left then they sent a letter says sorry to see me go and if I'd like to use them again and they included a £20 voucher
Hey Rocker, that sounds like a win to me. Bit of F***ing about maybe but £10 to the good. Oops! forgot to ask what the voucher was valid for ???
They must be p***ing themselves laughing when they come up with this sort of offer. P**s off existing customers and try and reel some new ones in year on year. Doesn't their pea brains tell them that in the long run loyalty and customer care may actually be good for their business.
Very rare but Enterprise Insurance Company PLC did actually go into liquidation less than 12 months ago.
