Hi my names Dave Horn and I'm a "Newbie".
Recently (May) purchased a 2017 Street Scrambler here in Germany in where I now live (I'm a Londoner who immigrated from work reasons, 17 years ago), after guidance from my eldest son.......I was initially considering a HD 883 Iron - WTF was I thinking!!!!

Loved the original Scrambler, but thought the cost to customise to my taste would push it out of my price range.......Thank you Triumph for doing just that with the latest model - Just had to add a mesh headlamp cover (for now :))

Hi Dave, you do look terrifying btw! As for the Harley I did buy a nightster brand new a few years ago and only managed 6 months of ownership. The bonneville is the better user and rides very well, in fact it just about holds its value similar too. And that's why I have one!

    Welcome to the forum Dave
    Great choice of bike.
Agree with your missus, the profile picture could be used for an EDL recruitment poster. Brilliant!

Comparing the build quality......Well to be honest, there was no comparison - The Harley looked like it would rust within a week and the one I looked at in the local dealership, already had an oil leak.

Agree, my mate went for a brand new HD Iron and is already playing hell about the corrosion.

Yes, I'll mention that to my mate, it was looking a bit too polished and unused.

Thanks.....Yes it is Steve - I work at Ford and stopped off en route for a coffee and to enjoy the early morning sun - Nothing to do with a fantastic photo opportunity ;)
