Oh sorry about that, I overlooked the private road bit to my post, must remember to add all of the details to my post. However my sister (rip) and my niece had a very lucky escape, the stag wrote her car off in almost the same as that horse in the picture. Good to remember, as soon as I seen the picture she popped into my mind, hence my input to the thread, the starling was a side story
economy class forum member??????? Not entirely sure what you mean by this? Oh sorry about that, I overlooked the private road bit to my post, must remember to add all of the details to my post. However my sister (rip) and my niece had a very lucky escape, the stag wrote her car off in almost the same as that horse in the picture. Good to remember, as soon as I seen the picture she popped into my mind, hence my input to the thread, the starling was a side story
Well a couple of years ago as I was getting back into biking on my cbr600f I kind of swerved a bit to avoid a pile of steaming horse poo and ran over a tortoise ! I didn't stop but I doubt it survived. When I was a kid I was on my way to the pub one sunny Sunday evening along a country road on my Suzuki 250 Hustler. Going round a bend at speed (it darkened as the trees provided a canopy) I suddenly came upon a large herd of cows in the road being taken for milking, large overfilled udders swinging all over the place and the road covered in slimy volcanoes of bovine excrement. On went the brakes. The bike slid all over the place and I felt like bambi on ice. Miraculously I missed all the cows which just looked at me curiously, all with that expression that said "where the fuck did you come from ?" The farmer looked at me and said "By eck lad, yer didn't arf leave some rubber 'ont road dint'ya" Quite a lucky escape for me and the cows I think.
The 'subscription' members have a much bigger library of 'replies' at their disposal which allows them a more accurate reply than the non subscribers which I was sarcastically referring to in my warped sense of humour as 'economy class forum members' Hope this goes some way to answering your query, admittedly it wasn't the cleverest of descriptions, it just made me chuckle when I wrote it, obviously all spoiled now.
Economy class as in "free to post in threads"? Someone in admin should have said it's compulsory, would have happily chipped in before posting.
You're quite right DD, keep the economy 'f***ers' in check. With all the 387 forum 'Yorkies' sharing the same I-pad, we couldn't decide how to fairly pay the £5 subscription, so the committee decision was pay nowt!
Not too late for you to subscribe Andy. Bargain at a Fiver. Even better bargain for free, the saving bought me 5 portions of tripe, admission to the Barnsley & District whippet races and the re-soling of my clogs.
Point the way, maybe I can make you look like a complete twit on a forum after I've paid me dough. I guess by putting a smiley makes it ok. And I commented on what a friendly forum this was. But I will chip in if it makes you feel better. EDIT: Paid me fiver to rob with the 1000rr lol worth paying to see that lol
Oh I see, I have subscriber by my name now, and you dont? I guess I can call you an Economy Class Poster now then, only a fiver mate and its good for the site I'm told.
Bloody hell Andy! The penny has finally dropped. I was originally referring to the non subscribers which included myself. My apologies if I have shamed you into spending a Fiver. lol.
To be fair, No you havent you saved me a few. I have always subscribed to forums as i know they cant exist without donations, I got away with a fiver, after my holiday in a weeks time it would have been a twenty, I would have found the information I have gained already worth that all day. I thought I offended you for posting about my sister the Stag and the Starlings and doing 100mph? what that was about I don't know but as the original poster didn't want his thread to go this way, odd that it did. I think it best that I read posts and not contribute.
Hi Andy, No offence taken whatsoever, on any of your posts, it is just my mischevious Yorkshire sense of humour which sometimes gets the better of me. Dont stop contributing to the forum whatever you do, it's just understanding the banter from different areas and countries. I've just turned 60 this year and this is the first forum I have ever been on, I have found it educational and helpful along with great exchanges of banter and friendly p**s-taking. Stick in there mate and enjoy it all.
Having led a sheltered and innocent life for 60 years, I was just starting to come out of my shell This reprimand is most upsetting I may even have to think now before I reply to any posts and that will take ages It's going to be like living under the sword of Damocles As a noble member It but it seems like Constructive Dismissal may be my only route
Don't know about Mick but as a non-subscriber I would proudly have TIGHTWAD under my profile name........
