    Hi folks
As per the title really, does anyone know of a supplier of or an equivalent for merlot touch up paint (brush) or even a matching nail varnish ;). I have quite a few deep scratches on the newly acquired Trophy and making them slightly less obvious would be worth a tenner or two.
Google has failed me apart from BikeBandit in the states (£14 plus £20 odd for postage plus 3 weeks plus..taxes.) It seems to be NLA from the official UK dealers, and even those sellers on eBay list every colour but.
    Suggestions on a postcard please

Assuming of course that this is in fact Merlot red?
Where does one find the paint code on a trophy?

    Bloody hell Grumpy,
Did you get locked in your shed ? haven't heard from you for a while.
Has the 'log book' got the paint ref. on it, or any other documentation passed on with the bike ?

LOL - progress on hold while waiting for peg hangers and rack to return from powder coaters. Bikes been cleaned, fluids changed, various nuts, bolts and bits removed, cleaned and greased etc cleaned again and theres not much more I can do till I get the bits back to rebuild and mot and then actually get to ride it!

Logbook just states 'red'. No reference to colour on vin plate or any stickers I can see without removing fairing.

I've sent a message to a guy on eBay as suggested in a different thread about edit: Cinder red, to see whether he can help or enlighten me.

If you go on the RAL or similar website you will be able to get a pretty accurate comparison from the swatch samples, failing that take a panel to a local vehicle re-finishers, they should be able to match it exactly.
You've got to remember there will be a little age fading as well.

As said I reckon most motor factors/ paint suppliers will match your paint so long as you can supply a small part for them to check colour match with.

I did think of visiting a local paint supplier but thought that there would probably be a minimum amount of paint required probably 1/4 or 1/2L which would be way more than required.

Shy bairns get no soup Grumpy!
Most workshops if you approach them right are always willing to help with bikes. It's definitely a lads thing.
