Out toda yfor a ride to Poole Quay.
Not been there for a while since ;ast year.
You forget when something is around the corner that it is there.
Georgeous weather and a couple of pints of Ale.
What better way of spending a few hours.
Made me realise why I ride bikes, just the shear enjoyment of cocking your leg over the saddle Thumbing the starter and let the adventure begin.
If anyone is ever on the Saaaaaaaaaaarf coast I recommend Poole Quay and they have a Bike Night on Tuesdays through Summer.
    Again well worth a visit.
Just sitting on the Quay feet dangling over the Quayside, what better way is there to waist a few hours watching the world go by and a pint of Ale toboot
Sometimes I forget why I ride bikes but today has affirmed why I enjoy it so much
Just a simple ride has put a massive smile on my face :)

Used to go very often with the lads. Six bikes, a couple of lads would take their latest girlfriend etc, we had some really fantastic rides down and even better runs back to Bristol. Sadly the group no longer exists, group politics diminished the friendships, kids arriving and of course bikes sold meant we no longer attend. As we rode straight after work we always had a dinner in the Wetherspoons on the front there, what more was there to life :)

Tis a good night Tuesdays Bike Night, well organised and freindly atmoshere. Unfortunately work means can`t get down there . Luckily there are nearly always parking spaces available all week so a good time can be had and a decent pint of Ale

Been there a few times in the past, In Laws live not far from there, so have visited it a few times.
Unlikely to visit it again due to a change in family circumstances.
Pity we don't have the same happening up here.
Ayr might be good for that.

Very unusual - not seen it before. I think that model is a US export one with the high pipes.

Poole is a couple of miles from my doorstep & this year the appeal of Tuesday bike night is starting to diminish.
It's busy but nothing like previous years.
It's good to see a nice collection of vintage & the obvious Triumph club that attends.
A few other more peaceful ride out/destinations appeared locally & the mad throng has split.
I'm sure it will remain but the council made noises this year over the lack of volunteers to man the event & how they would have to cut down the duration.
    Times change..

I used to go down there years before it became an organised Bike night and the council tried to stop it completely because few locals complained about the noise. The local businesses then pointed out to the council that they relied on the bikers etc spending money to get them through winter months as not many people go down to the quay in winter Council then started organising it as a bike night. So hopefull council won`t keep cutting it down although they don`t need too much of an excuse too stop anything these days. Fingers crossed it will carry on
