MUCH BETTER. If you get a discount card even better.
Don't forget to give it a charge after filling. makes the battery much better and last longer

    Good to know tip:
Once the battery has been filled with the acid, let it stand for a couple of hours, this is becasue when the acid is added it gets hot, it needs to be fully cooled down before you seal up the battery.
Otherwise it will have a vacume inside and this can cause grief leter on to the condition of the battery

If the battery is supplied "Dry" requiring you to fill it with acid fill the battery initially with acid to the marked maximum then let it stand for 24 hours !

As the battery plates are dry they will need to be allowed to absorb the acid fill, check the acid level and top up as needed and put on charge to bring the battery up to a fully charged state.

Don't rush this by charging too fast, ie use a trickle charger, install the battery and ride the bike as needed ......... check / top up every 3 to 6 months.

Keeping an eye on the battery level will help extend the life of your battery.

    .

This applies to lead acid batteries.
a YTX9-BS is maintenance free so comes with the specific amount of electrolyte and cannon be checked/topped up.
stood for an hour should be fine before pressing down the top cover. then charge at 1amp/hour for 9 hours
