    Don't agree with giving celebs/sports personalities knighthoods, they've been paid more than handsomely, travelled the world first class and stopped in top hotels, what a life.
    Sir Elton John, Sir Rod Stewart, Sir Andy Murray wtf, do they really deserve a knighthood.
    To me there's more deserving cases out there, people who regularly put their lifes at risk to save others or public heroes.
    Rant over for now.

    You do wonder why some of the celebs get honours,but i guess we only ever hear about the celebs that get them, but they are just a small percentage as they give out thousands of honours every year. and i suppose some of the celebs do give money and do a lot for charities

    Dougie, I know that lots of honours are given out annually, I'm not on about OBE's or MBE's etc.
    Being given a knighthood, being called a Sir for doing something thats made you very, very rich and famous ain't right in my eyes.
    There's lots of ordinary people out there that work tirelessly for charities and others give generously to charities also.

    There's more deserving cases out there mate.

    i agree with you about much more deserving cases, but because they don't get lots of nominations unfortunately they go unnoticed,I'm not keen on the Sir and Lord titles i think they should just stick with the OBE and MBE and possibly make another one up for really outstanding contributions
