    Hi

My 2011 speed has 849 miles on the clock.

I know it had its first service etc.

I'm planning on giving it an oil change, just in case the dealer didn't change it and because it's over 2yrs old .

The manual recommends either fully or semi synthetic. Such as Castrol power 1 racing

I already have some fully synthetic Castrol power 1 racing in the shed.

Shall I go ahead and use it?

I have heard that using fully synthetic on engines with less than 7k miles can encourage more oil usage?

    What do you guys reckon?

    Cheers in advance

Castrol Power is what went in my bike at it's first service. Its not using oil and now at 7500 miles. How come only 850 miles in two years?

    Hi Rich

Previous owner was a new rider dealer tells me.

Basically he crapped himself once he realised the speed had more poke than he thought he could handle.

There would be more miles on it from me but time and shite weather since I bought it put dampers on my fun.

Got out today though and had a blast. Nearly nipped to Matlock but it was ferkin cold and don't want to get caught in the rain, and get her dirty. Lol

So asked dealer if they changed oil before they handed bike to me, its had fully synth and new filter, so been changed twice now, since new.

My Akrapovic cans ordered today, god I must love this bike.

See me spending a fortune on this bike!

Thanks for your reply will stIck with fully synthetic.

Hi Jacko, looking forward to pics and a video of the Akrapovic cans - are they high pipes or one low pipe?

Akrapovic only do high level twin cans and link pipe for 2011+ speed.

That's what I wanted anyway, I love the look of the high cans, so you can see the back wheel.

Weight saving is still over 4kg with these cans.

No need to remap according to akra. They look top quality, but no more pricey than a arrow system.

Well my dealer gave me good deal.

I'm useless at posting pics and video etc .

    Loads on you tube though.

    Cheers
