Bought a carbon rear hugger from CC looks lovely BUT do I really need to take the wheel out to remove standard hugger and fit new carbon one :frown: Anyone else tried removing hugger??
Hi Gary, here is a link when Screwball fitted his: http://thetriumphforum.co.uk/forum/f13/what-you-been-doing-your-triumph-today-219/index33.html
Any problem let me know I can solve anything apart from the chain guard... That was one tricky fucker to fit... Even my dealer struggled.. They had to use a cut down alan key one of the mechanics had to get to the bolts....
Fail :frown: tried this undone wheel slackened chain right off still can not get on to the hex screw, looks like carbon hugger will have to wait until new rear tyre is needed in about 4000 miles lol
Slackened the chain right off but didn't look like the wheel moved back?? was thinking of letting the air out of the tyre??
You need to move the wheel back, you have to turn it on the adjuster, I had to turn the wheel as well to make sure it went right back... Letting air out may also help...
I slackened the chain as fair as it would go pushed as hard down on the c spanner as I could and it came to a stop so I didn't think I could get it to go back anymore?
Hi Gary, did you manage to fit the Hugger okay? It's a real pain in the butt but as SB has advised is the way to fit!
No mate I done what was explained slackened the chain right off but wheel didn't move back?? I did think about letting the air out of the tyre but not sure that would work either??
