I had a nest of German wasps - looked very similar ( larger than out native wasps) aggressive bug###s they were. They nested in a Landrover chassis

If you seat it - better make sure it's with lethal force.

Once had a wasp nest in an old settee in the barn. Every time went in, they attacked.

Had to lasso the settee with a rope - run away,
attach rope to back of Land Rover - run away,
tow settee into open space - run away,
take rope off Land Rover - run away,
petrol bomb the settee - run away,
but return shortly to watch the wee buggers burn

This whole process took 1/2 a day !!!!

Last house we lived in my neighbour asked me if I had any petrol so he could burn out a wasps nest in his compost heap
Passed a can of petrol over the fence to him and watched as he set fire to the nest ;)
    All hell breaks loose o_O
His wife panicked and locked the door......should of heard the thud as he bounced off the door back into the swarm :worried:
By this time I'm in my house with door and windows shut :)
I've never seen anyone flaying there arms about as fast as that.....absolutely pissing myself.....crying with laughter :joy:
He's screaming... open the fekin door.....open the fekin door
So she opened the door :p
In he charged and I heard the door slam shut:rolleyes:
Now there's two of them screaming all over the house... up the stairs.....down the stairs....doors slamming
Me and my wife are on the floor pissing ourselves :joy::joy:
A good while later he brought me the petrol can back and showed me his stings....the ones on his bald patch were the best :p

The body work may have been aluminium but the chassis isn't.
Chassis use to rot very easily. Still not sure if they are galvanised in modern ones

Not unless you order an aftermarket one from the likes of Richards. From the factory they're made of 2mm steel-ish stuff, for a chassis !!!

When I worked in south Africa I got stung by one of these beauties, paper wasp, right on the back of the neck, never felt pain like it! We were living 12 miles from the nearest town in the middle of nowhere. I had no idea how I would react so sat in the car & told the wife to drive me if I passed out. All was well after an hour it subsided to an achey neck. I staggered to the house past the tree where the bugger got me only to be hit again in the same place. The pheromone the stinger was giving off obviously had me tagged as a threat. I spent quite some time lying in a pool of my own sweat shaking that day.

No idea what your new pal is though Tricolore
