Hi Pete, I'm a little confused - your question is in the SIII part of the forum but your signature says 'Tiger'. If your question does relate to the SIII, then '05 to '09 the engine mounting bracket-to-cylinder head bolts is 30Nm, all other mounting bolts are 80Nm. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I take it its the same value for a 13reg? as I tried a socket and torque wrench taking the settings up in increments to see where the bolt moved and it still clicked away at 40Nm I then gave up and decided to ask the question, as for the Sig line...yeah sorry..also got a Tiger

Sorry, haven't got the manual for the new one yet. I wouldn't bank on the settings being the same - they've changed everything else - none of the bling from my '07 fits my new one!

pretty sure it tells you on the R&G instructions? or failing that the Speed handbook? If I hadn't had a couple of Abbot Ales and nearly a bottle of a rather cheeky Merlot I'd go up in the garage loft and dig my Speedy bits out to check...but as I have your'e on your own fella! :upyeah:

    Hi

R and G instructions say 40nm for the crash bungs .

I've just bought a set myself but need to get 16mm socket and spanner.

I went for the ones that go under the rad covers. How the hell you get to tighten the nut on the inner side I ain't worked out. Hope the rad ain't got to come off, to gain access?

    Cheers Jacko

Ring spanner and the nut taped into it - the rad stays where it is. You may need to remove the horn on the left side as it makes access easier.

Just re read the instructions and it does say not to exceed 40Nm so will just have to go with that...Oh, best of luck with fitting those rad mounted ones Jacko...those inner nuts look fun:wink:
