Went out for a nice 2 hour bimble. Stopped half way around at Pate à Pain for a coffee/croissant/pain au chocolate combo.

Riding in my new boots - feet lovely and comfy.

Now don't take the piss you little tinker. These new boots have been a revelation to me. My tootsies feel cosseted and when coming to a halt they feel really solidly planted.

I was going to say; I love my gear change CLUNK, so many worry about and complain I find it reassuringly solid and mechanical

A three hour bimble with Rich supposedly leading us to Salcey Forest. After heading further and further away he pulls over to explain that he's missed the turning but that we'll go left down the A45 towards Northampton to get closer. At this point we have just passed a sign saying A45 Northampton 300 yards.

OK I say, sounds good. So off we go again straight past the slip road. Three hundreds yards later Rich pulls in again and explains that he thinks he's missed the turning. No shit Sherlock ! U-turn follows.

Actually was a very nice ride, but followed a near-death experience as I travelled to meet up with Rich. Turning right at a big and busy roundabout, I waited dutifully for a safe moment to pull out. Eventually there was a significant gap and I pulled out onto an empty roundabout, lights and fog lights on, indicating correctly. As I started to lean the bike right, with all my attention focussed on the roundabout itself, I heard a screeching of brakes to my left as a Mercedes estate coming onto the roundabout from the left skidded towards me and stopped three feet away.

I was too shocked and stunned to do anything other than continue with my manoeuvre, but a few seconds later I realised that, cautious rider though I am, it had nearly all ended there. As we carried on down the road I gave him a load of angry gestures and he mouthed "sorry", rather shamefacedly.

But what I really wanted to do was stop the bike and beat the shit out of his car. To make a point he would never forget.

Get off, take a breathe, wipe me arse, and dance, sing and be happy I survived, Then I wanted to kill him, smash his car and teach him a lesson he would never forget,
But I just left it where it was, its for the best :laughing::laughing::cool::cool:

Headed off to Cornwall yesterday and gave the Street Twin a good run at motorway speeds for a good blast and it ran like a dream also some good riding on winding A roads. The missus went down in the car to give our caravan a good spring clean so left her there to carry on the good work and came back today in time to get down to a great evening at Poole Quay.
The more I use the ST the more I like it but may add a flyscreen to help a bit with the wind blast, have now clocked up 2500 miles since September.

Fitted my SC Project carbon conical exhaust yesterday, so easy
    Sounds lovely.
Need to get the remap done ASAP now

I will get a video uploaded after the weekend when I have got the cameras (Drift Ghost HDs and Drift Stealth 2) in place and can give it a good run on the twisties

Also thinking of getting the Drift Steath 4k...looks amazing with true 4k UHD and also 60FPS at normal HD (£299) will look into that a bit more

As it happpens, I fitted the SC Project exhaust without instructions, I just thought there wern't any!
When I was putting parts of my old exhaust into the box, I noticed the paper under a flap in the box, I looked at them and smiled smugly:D as I realised I had got it spot on

My son has my old F800S, seems determined to scrap it though. Hit someone up the backside the other day, bending the front fork tubes, mud guard and front left fairing!
I guess he knows to watch the pesky heat exchanger, prone to corrosion creeping across the face and undermining the seal, oil and water mixing in the process. My lad had a job at Jack Lilley in Romford but nepotism saw him relieved of duties.

Fitted one to my old F800S Beemer. Great when it worked. Because the Beemer used soft switching on the headlamp when starting the control circuit didn't like the lower voltage all the time and was a bit fickle striking the lamp.

Hi Dilligaf are you making a fixed hitch or a 360 degree hitch ?

Would like a 360 but depends on time scale
I'll see what I can do with bearings at work
At the moment it's a fixed 50mm ball hitch
