Hi Odinz and welcome to the home of the terminally insane!
To answer your question, the T300 series have always had 6 speed gearboxes. However, the early Speed Triples had 6th gear blanked off for reasons unknown, until - I do believe (and am pretty sure) - '96 model year. I bought my Trident in '95 and Speedies at that time were 5 speed, which is confirmed by my (getting ever more delicate) owner's handbook. The Thunderbird was also similarly equipped with a 5 speed gearbox ... not sure if they ever did get 6 speeds though.
Had lunch in the Punch Hotel in Hull last Wednesday:). Just saying! It is not relevant to any of the above!:p

Hi there i take it your from the fair town of goole.punch is a different sort of pub for lunch so you must know your way around Hull as its hard just to find the place.Im not speaking from experience as ive never been just know where it is.
Can you recommend a motor engineer to do motor work on afore mentioned motor in Hull or close by?

Not sure ... I always used Adi at West Cowick until he packed in. However I was given the number of a bloke at Eastrington near Howden, if I remember correctly. Name of Dave Bancroft on 07801 296309. The lad who MOT'd my bike said he was pretty good but he may just be doing it in his spare time. I've not had the need to contact him yet, but who knows what the future may hold. Could be worth a quick call. He may have had a workshop just outside Howden a while back. If so he will be the bloke an ex workmate took his Tiger 955 to a few years ago. He was well pleased with his work.
The Mission on Posterngate in Hull also does good food - and Old Mill Brewery beers (from Snaith).:):)
