Hi Been thinking of getting a R3 A mate of mine has one and swears by it He calls it a fat lads Boneville ! Another mate had one but wasn't all that sold with it Said it was impressive but to big and expensive So if I can ask for your honest opinions Cheers DILLIGAF
i think they would be brilliant bikes and great fun,it's just i like my bikes engine to look like a bike engine and not a cars
As new as I can afford Would have to sell or do a deal on my speedmaster I can't afford two bikes unfortunately Got two cars on PCP but don't know if I want to do this for what is essentially a big boys toy
Had a ride on my brother-in-law's R3. Absolutely bonkers !!!! The weight might disappear when you are going, but at junction, even the slightest incline can give you a fright. Nearly dropped it twice puling up to junctions. But once you do get it going - BLOODY HELL The torque of that engine is insane. You could ride around with it in 3rd gear. It will pull away in 3rd and get to 100 in 3rd !!! Mad as !!! Got wee legs ? Stick to something else. At 6'2" and 17+st, I found it quite a handful, but the riding experience is fantastic. Maybe in the future, if I find a nice low mileage touring version in black and white, I could be sorely tempted to chop in the America. The main worry would be the weight of the bike and the missus on the back. If it were to drop, no way you are stopping it going.
I tried one, very impressive. If I was into cruisers I might have one. Buy one, if you don't get on with it, sell it
I was at a cafe last year when one of those left I don't know what pipes he had on but the ground shook as he rode off, very impressed with the noise. But I'm not man enough for something that size! Oooer!
Further to this here is a picture of my mate Frank He's 6ft3 and 19.5st He's not stopping with me in the cupboard at the GMU He's coming out of the closet to bunk with Dozers Dad
