Thank you Sir, I appreciate it! Promise I wasn't having a dig at you, I have found that you are sometimes the last person to know of a issue that has been posted online, after weeks you find a post and then your reputation is already damaged. You can sell a 1000 perfect parts and 1 dud and the dud will be the one people will remember. I always think about it this way, if I'm not willing to put it on my Triumph how can I expect you to.

I'm one of you after all, lol. I have had a Street Triple R since 09 and did 26 000 miles on it before changing it (a lot of internal turmoil happened before that was decided) for ANOTHER Street Triple (15 R) last year. It's probably cause I'm part of the online and offline community that has helped keep me focused on the Triumph brand. I have found that Triumph owners are so friendly and passionate about the brand, all the group I'm part of the banter is fantastic and the helpfulness and community spirit is amazing. Bikers are just great people after all.

It all started when I bought my 09 Street Triple and I couldn't get a extended fender for it. So we (Paul from Zero limits and me) ended up making one and that's where the carbon bug kicked in. 8 years down the line I know we have biggest range of carbon parts available for the Triumph models (with the help of my fabricator we keep on making new projects happen) but I'm still growing after a hiccup halfway along the way (I parted ways with previous business partner and started CarbonFBR). Was tough going against a strong brand you helped built and starting from scratch. But with the knowledge I gained along the way and with the decision to rather grow slower by word of mouth, reputation, quality and being parts of the community I'm getting there. I'm not a massive player, I just concentrate on Triumphs and let the parts speak for themselves and me.

We made a target double last years sales and we made it with 2 weeks spare, so it's on the up and up. Listening to the folks and their requests we're now branching into the older Speed Triple market (just sent the frame covers away to get moulded) and I have a range of made-to-order parts already available. It'll increase as the requests grows for new parts. We just finished the Speed 16 parts and stock is now arriving. Street Triple 2017 parts has already hit the factory for moulding and more are coming. So we're looking forward to the 2017 season.

As for me and my bike. I can't wait to get hold of my 2017 Street Triple R, looking forward to it BUT I 1st need to get a little more enjoyment out of my 15 R this year before the biggest anticipated change I have had in a very long time. Really can't wait to buy the new ST17R and with the way Triumph is going I'm just glad to be part of the community and enjoy the bikes with other like minded people.

    Anyways that's me.

Ok got answer back from the factory. Attached is photo of the SP11 part they moulded from. I can see a tiny pilot hole on the plastic but no hole.

I'll get them to add one but need to get the spot and size perfect. Any chance you could give me the size of the hole?

Right then. I've measured my hole and it looks like this:

After some precision alignment (involving holding it in position and marking with a scriber), I drilled a 6.5 mm hole and it worked out perfectly (it's an M6 bolt I presume).

For the record, my seat cowl didn't click into the locked position very easily with the OEM part - it needed a good push down to engage securely. With the carbon, it locks very easily. No one wants to see their £130 seat cowl in their rear view mirror ;)

That's perfect! I'll pass the info onto them. That's what I like about the Triumph community, job done.

    Hi Jacques,

I want to order one of these tailpieces for my 2016 Speed Triple R.

Have you got one in stock and have you sorted out the issue with the missing holes?

    Cheers

    Jack
