Got to travel 70 miles to get it, but collecting my new Speed Triple 2016 R, yes the latest version with 5 rider modes...and only 1,600 miles! I am not gonna get any sleep tonight...I told my missus I would be leaving early with a mate. She said why, what am I up to and I said "Just picking up a new bike" she rolled her eyes and told me not to wake her when she leaves.....I luv her Oh, in Grey and Red
Hi Jez, on some bikes the TC does get modified in the different modes, but the principal change is to the throttle control or speed of operation. In sporty modes the throttle comes on stronger with less movement; in rain mode the throttle is smoother and more progressive.
The modes are Rain Road Sport Track Rider (custom) The modes change power delivery, traction control and ABS I'm loving my R too, and enjoying road riding again
I printed am A3 picture of said bike and stick it on the wall next to my desk at work, i haven't got much work done today. It has more bells n whistles than i can throw a stick at, and easily can out perform my abilities. I look forward to a good summer riding. I could do with a decent alarmed disc lock though. What was that one you guys were raving about in another thread?
I'm only just getting to grips with disc brakes and having to wear an helmet! lol Enjoy your new bike RT
Will get pics up as soon as, still finalising insurance and return of the loan bike. Will try this evening I have already installed certain electrical security devices, an alarmed disc lock is on the way and I am sourcing a Screaming banshee air horn (saved my life a few times from idiot cagers on my last bike)
Cheers WS I must admit I was picky with which colour I wanted, anything else and I would have been still thinking of the Grey and Red (Although I understand Blue tend to go faster) I have just ordered the Screaming Banshee air horn to go in there from Infinity Motors (£100) for the split system. A loud horn is an absolute must when in London and motorway travelling
Very nice colour choice RT - but then I'm bound to be biased I'm looking to upgrade my standard horn, but was looking at the Denali Soundbomb - either 'split' with separate compressor, or 'compact' with combined compressor. Both are 120 Db and available for under £40. Do you know what I'd be getting with the Banshee for the extra cash...other than an extra 10 Db?
Just got driven into by a post van, he crosses across into me as i go past I have to had the bike week and this happens Need: Headlights Radiator Mudguard Radiator covers Engine covers I managed to keep the bike from dropping but bloody mother ruddy postman fucker 23 years of spotless riding then two accidents in under month Arghhhh
