    Hi All,

I'm hoping someone that has these slip one can provide some advice on the installation.

I took the stock cans off today and had to undo a clamp on each side. There was also some kind of copper gasket in place on the originals.

The new SC Project ovals don't seem to have any way of clamping to the original Y link pipe and no gaskets either. Is it a case of simply pushing the new cans over the link pipe and not using any clamps to prevent gasses from escaping??

Seems strange as I'm sure air would be able to escape! If that's the case I'll probably use a bit of exhaust silicone before pushing them together.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi SW,

I have the SC Low Mount (seen at left in my avatar) and it was simply a slip on event with no gaskets, just springs to tension the can to the header pipe. I find zero blowby around the header and can and did not use any gasket material or gunk.

Thanks for the reply mate. Maybe mine is designed to do the same then, although there are no springs to keep it under tension on the twin ovals. There's just a single bolt on each side to mount it to the frame.

Just slide em on and adjust with the bolts holding them to the frame. I didn't use anything else and no gas escaping

Thanks for that mate. Wished I'd put them on earlier now while I did the tail tidy :(
