Welcome to the forum - are you thinking of getting a Bonnie or do you already have one?
(By the way - someone is bound to mention Jethro Tull - probably Dozers Dad - just warning you!):rolleyes:

Welcome Ian. Do you have a bike yet? Do you have a Bonnie? If not, stop prevaricating, riding season is almost on us.

And as Steve said I'll leave it to DD to post before we go off at a tangent discussing the merits of your earlier albums compared to your later work.

Glenn Miller used to drink in a pub round the corner from here when he was stationed in Bedford during the War. A good lad by all accounts. And nothing wrong with Mantovani mate. Did you know that 10% of all charity shop stock are Mantovani and Glenn Miller Best-of albums.

I am laughing to myself as I did not think I would receive such a very warm welcome.
I am very happy to see their are some Tull fans on the site as I am a big fan. Just to pick up on thread I have had a few bikes I'm the past currently have two other honda bikes on the road. But I now smiling when I writing this as I bought a bonneville se 2011 on Saturday from a dealer had been looking for one since last August and was hoping to get a good deal over the winter on a private sale but I really happy with this one. Just waiting on the phone call to go and get him.

NOTHING IS EASY but its worth it in the end and you have the bike you wanted, lucky with weather as well as you wont be SKATING AWAY ON THE THIN ICE OF A NEW DAY. Enjoy your new retro Bonnie as its your chance at LIVING IN THE PAST.

Good stuff Ian. I'm sure you appreciate by now that posting a pic of your Triumph is mandatory, otherwise Mr.O will issue a formal warning.

Jeez DD, and I and NURSIE looked at those titles and couldn't see a thing, bravo matey, and you're right about the STORMWATCH which has the BENEFIT of keeping Bonnie UNDER WRAPS until the SUNSHINE DAY.

I'm guessing that like most of us Ian is TOO OLD TO ROCK 'N ROLL [and]: TOO YOUNG TO DIE.

All this talk of Jethro Tull reminded me of the talented and original lead guitarist Mick Abrahams who left after the first album citing 'musical differences' to form Blodwyn Pig, which only lasted for two albums. He lived in Dunstable and was a friend of a work pal in the nightclubs we ran at the time. I first met Mick at a gym in Milton Keynes in about 1985 when he was working as a 'financial consultant' according to Wikipedia, but best I recall he was essentially an insurance/pensions salesman. The rock 'n roll lifestyle, eh.
