After having searched, compared and discarded a few suspensions (from Maxton, YSS, Olhins, Wielbers, Nitron, and others), some due to cost, some due to import taxes, some due to non-compatibility with my bike, I have narrowed down the choice to these two:
- Bitubo T0031WME02V2, around €450
- Shock Factory - 2WIN, about €100 more
I really like both, preload and rebound adjustment, 341...
First of all can I say I am not knocking the Speed Twin and I do love the feel and looks of the bike etc, however it does have its limitations, certainly as far as my riding style is concerned anyway.
For me, cornering is what it is all about, but with this bike it is giving me a few headaches, firstly the bike itself is more than capable of fast, full lean angle cornering and holds the road well...

Hi Folks, anyone out there know if a late model Speed Twin 900 gas tank will fit on a late model Speed Twin 1200 without modifications? I've seen threads that suggest there may be a gas gauge reading issue but nothing definitive. This is just a cosmetic mod as the 1200 tank looks a little bulbous with the aftermarket seat I...
I picked up my 2023 Speed twin yesterday (my first Triumph! and this is my first post here so i hope i put it in the right section of the forum ) and it has the original Metzeler Racetec K3 tyres which are worn and need replacing.
I have used the Bridgstone Battlax S22 tyres on previous bikes and i really like them / trust them / am used to them etc etc.
However, I have heard it mentioned that due to the tight fit at the back / proximity of the right edge of the tyre to the chain...
